(AP) -- Two crewmen were injured when a fire broke out at the race shop belonging to Petty Enterprises. The Wednesday night flash fire in a storage room broke out while crewmen Mike Root and Rich Parks were cleaning up spilled gasoline. Root suffered second- and third-degree burns to his arms and legs and is in stable condition at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Parks was treated for a laceration to his head and a minor burn to his hands. The race shop sustained minimal damage. `Our thoughts and prayers are both with Mike and Rich this morning,' Kyle Petty said. `Things could have been a lot worse than they were, and we're grateful that both are going to be OK.'
